five things friday.

evan and i just moved to tallahassee, florida leaving behind provo, utah {our amazing home for the past five years}.  moving to florida was a relatively easy decision to make.  God was making it very clear to us that this was our next chapter.  but moving away from utah was one of the hardest things i've ever had to do.

so, here are five things that i am going to miss about utah.

{krystal & jon fox and christy & jon lehman}
{the bradley family}
{the fox family}
{adam and mandi moniz}
{girlies from work-- cassie, jj, & mandi}
{softball team-- balls & dolls}

evan and i were blessed to meet some pretty amazing people in utah over the past five years.  goodbye's are hard, but we know our friends we made in utah are more like family and they will be in our lives forever!

centerpoint church has played such a pivotal role in our lives.  we met through our college group at church, met some of our dearest friends, & learned what it really means to serve in a church setting.  we will miss worshipping together on sunday mornings!

mountains are definitely something that i took for granted.  they are so beautiful, majestic, and are an amazing display of God's power.  i'm going to miss walking out my front door and having them right there. i'm excited however to find God's glory in some other way here in florida.

i vividly remember the first match of evan's i went to.  it was the byu invitational september of '08.  i had never been to a tennis match before, and i didn't expect to love it as much as i did.  being a part of the byu tennis team helped evan become the man he is.  much of his teamwork, leadership, and work ethic was developed while playing as a cougar.  some of my fondest memories are watching & cheering on evan and his team.  go cougars!

i realized as we were preparing to move that i have lived in areas where it snows at least 5-6 months out of the year since i was ten years old {mn & ut}!  I'm going to miss dressing for the cold.  i love jackets, boots, scarves, and cute beanies.  there is something so romantic and peaceful about watching snow fall.  hopefully we will live in a snowy climate again one day.

i believe that living in utah is one of the best things that ever happened to us. so much healing, growth, and maturing happened there.  utah will forever be "home" to us.  see you again soon utah! we love you.
